Changxin Technology's LPDDR6 is nearing the end of R & D verification

On August 1, industry sources revealed that Changxin Storage's LPDDR6 (the sixth-generation low-power double data rate memory standard) is nearing the end of research and development verification, which is an important step before mass production. In March this year, there was market news that Changxin Storage, a subsidiary of Changxin Technology, was actively promoting the implementation of LPDDR6 products and had sent samples to core customers. It is expected to release and achieve mass production introduction in the second half of 2026. Relevant information said that Changxin's first LPDDR6 product has a design specification rate of 12800Mbps, a basic operating rate coordinated with SoC (system-on-chip) is 10667Mbps, and a grain capacity of 16Gb. It adopts a POP (stacked) package with 1295Ball (solder ball). The low-power design and RAS (reliability, availability and maintainability) functions are significantly optimized and improved compared with the LPDDR5X (enhanced version of LPDDR5) product. (Yicai)
