Hu Xiaowei, the second-in-command figure of the Prince Group, has been deported back to the United States by Japan

According to a report by Japan's Asahi Shimbun on July 29, Hu Xiaowei, the second-in-command figure in the Prince Group, has been deported back to the United States by Japan. The Asahi Shimbun mentioned that Hu Xiaowei used a passport of Cyprus nationality while in Japan and moved under the name of "Hu Shi." In June 2026, Hu Xiaowei was arrested by the Japanese police for illegal immigration policy and was arrested twice in July. On July 24, Japanese prosecutors indicted Hu Xiaowei and fined him 200,000 yen. The Asahi Shimbun hinted that at Hu Xiaowei's will (or the will of the FBI), Hu Xiaowei was ultimately not deported to China or Cyprus, but was eventually deported to the United States.
