Microstrategy may sell up to $5 billion worth of Bitcoin under current capital plan

On August 2, MicroStrategy may sell up to $5 billion worth of Bitcoin under its current capital plan. That's four times more than the amount they initially said they might sell under the new capital management plan. CEO PhongLe said potential sales revenue could be used to add $1.25 billion to its dollar reserves, fund its approximately $1.76 billion in dividend and interest obligations annually, and fund up to $2 billion in share buybacks. The $5 billion figure is the upper limit under the current plan, although Michael Saylor suggested the total could eventually be higher.
