On August 8, CoinDesk reported that Matt Hougan, chief investment officer of Bitwise, said that institutional investors may inject trillions of dollars into Bitcoin over the next decade, and financial advisers, family offices, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds are viewing it as a mainstream financial asset. Hougan expects this process to take more than 10 years, with global institutions controlling US$100 trillion to US$200 trillion in assets, and only 1% allocation is enough to support their long-term price targets. He predicts a bitcoin price target of US$1.3 million in 2035-if Bitcoin occupies a 25% share of the value storage market that continues to expand at an annual growth rate of 13%, each BTC could reach US$1.3 million. Hougan believes Strategy was once the largest buyer, but spot ETFs have weakened its premium advantage, its debt issuance space has narrowed, and will buy at a slower pace in the future.
