Netanyahu believes there is "no risk" in going against Trump on Gaza plan
Former Israeli diplomat Aron Pincus said Netanyahu absolutely needs a permanent war. Israel's rejection of the Gaza plan should be viewed entirely in the context of Israel's October 27 election. Pincus said Netanyahu was making a calculation that he believed was not risky-he thought he could confront Trump openly because Trump didn't care that much, because timing, because Hamas had not yet been disarmed, and because he could do it with impunity. It's all about permanent war and elections. (Jin Shi)
