Nasdaq's application for extended crypto ETF options may not require separate SEC approval
Nasdaq is applying to expand crypto ETF options due to slow progress on the Clarification Act. The exchange just submitted a proposed rule change to the SEC that could standardize the way crypto ETF options are listed. This would allow eligible crypto ETF options to be launched without having to obtain separate SEC approval at each time. Investors can eventually trade a portfolio that covers BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, LINK and HBAR. Nasdaq also replaced "crypto assets" with "digital commodities," explicitly excluding securities. While the Clarity Act stalled, Wall Street continued to evolve.
