Binance-backed SafePal reveals data breach: 40,000 user information was exposed
SafePal, an unmanaged wallet supported by Binance, recently announced that a security incident has been discovered that resulted in unauthorized access to the order information of approximately 39,798 users. The incident involved users who placed orders between March 2, 2025 and April 11, 2026, including names, email addresses, mailing addresses, telephone numbers and purchase details. SafePal said that while users 'wallets, mnemonics and private keys are secure, leaked order details could be used in phishing attacks. All affected customers have been notified individually via email. The issue has been fixed with additional security measures.
