SKTelecom spun off its AI data center business and established SKHorizon plans to introduce US$2.2 billion in funding

On August 29, according to Yonhap News Agency, SKTelecom will spin off its artificial intelligence data center business into a new entity "SKHorizon" and plans to introduce US$2.2 billion in external funds. The spin-off transaction is expected to be completed on February 1, 2027. KKR, IMMInvestment and Stonebridge Capital consortium may participate in the investment.
