Iran's Revolutionary Guard last week prevented 30 "offending" ships from "illegally" passing through the Strait of Hormuz
On August 30, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated that since August 22, 2026, 30 illegal ships had attempted to illegally pass through the Strait of Hormuz, but all were stopped by the Iranian armed forces. During this period, all limited passes approved, coordinated and paid by the Islamic Republic of Iran will proceed normally. Before the outbreak of the conflict, more than 1500 oil tankers and 1700 merchant ships passed through the route. This data shows that traffic and trade have been seriously stalled under the current situation. The Revolutionary Guard also stated that there was no data to confirm the claim about the demining operation (claimed by the United States) and that the United States had not provided any relevant evidence so far.
