Many countries promote the localization of gold reserves

September 5-Many countries around the world are accelerating the adjustment of their gold reserve deposit layout and reducing their dependence on the single custody system in Europe and the United States. Since 2013, many countries have successively started to move back overseas gold reserves. The World Gold Council's 2026 Central Bank Gold Reserve Survey shows that in the past 12 months, 19% of central banks have increased the proportion of domestic gold reserves or diversified reserve locations. A year ago, this proportion was only 7%, which was deposited in New York and London. The number of central banks with vaults continues to decrease. (Jin Shi)
