Polkadot Community proposes to launch native stablecoin dotUSD and apply for US$5 million in start-up capital
On September 9, according to the Polkassembly platform proposal, the Polkadot Community Foundation proposed to launch the protocol-native decentralized stablecoin dotUSD, establish a DOT/dotUSD liquidity pool, and apply for US$5 million in start-up capital (US$2.5 million USDT and US$2.5 million equivalent DOT) as initial liquidity. dotUSD uses an overcollateralization model adapted from Liquityv2 to anchor the dollar, and users lock in DOT to cast at a minimum mortgage rate of 150%. The proposal is currently in a 28-day voting period.
