Institutions such as Nasdaq call on the EU to lift the ceiling on the scale of the tokenization pilot

On September 10, an industry alliance composed of institutions such as Nasdaq and the Stuttgart Stock Exchange in Germany called on the EU to cancel or increase the size cap in the pilot of tokenized securities, warning that the current cap is too low and that the scale of existing tokenization projects in some Europe has exceeded this limit. The alliance believes that too low a size limit may hinder the development of the European tokenized securities market and recommends that the EU expand the scope of the pilot so that market participants can further test blockchain-based securities issuance, trading and settlement models.
