In an interview with CNBC on October 5, Tom Lee said: "I think before last week's jobs report, the market had been trading according to the 'most hawkish Fed' scenario, which expected three rate hikes, including an October rate hike. The probability is 75%. But in the end, the employment report was soft. We will have the September inflation report in two weeks. In our view, we believe some one-off factors are fading, so I think the inflation data will be soft over the next six months, which will not only allow the Fed to retreat from its hawkish stance, but I think it will also allow bond yields to truly normalize, as inflation uncertainty begins to ease. And I think there are many clues, because technology stocks hit new highs and cryptocurrencies performed so well, which are unlikely to perform so well with tightening monetary conditions. So I think they are an early reflection of looser financial conditions in the future."
