Analysts: 30-year U.S. bond yields rise to 6%"inevitable"
On October 6, Earl Davis of BMOGlobal Asset Management said he believed a breakthrough in the U.S. 30-year Treasury yield of 6% was "inevitable" and could happen as early as October, because bond market volatility was forming a cycle that pushed yields higher further. "Why is this inevitable? Markets tend to focus on only one thing at a time, whether it's inflation, economic growth, or other factors that affect interest rates,"Davis added, adding that now investors are" really focused on interest rates themselves."
