Ramaswamy's campaign for Ohio governor, encryption is no longer a major issue
On October 6, according to Cointelegraph, Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy was running for governor of Ohio. His position on encryption remained unchanged but did not become a core issue, which was in contrast to the support for Bitcoin and opposition to CBDC in the 2024 presidential campaign. He holds approximately 5.69 million shares of Strive, which he co-founded, with a market value of more than US$170 million; the latter held 23156 BTC, or approximately US$2 billion, on August 28. Its campaign website accepts encrypted donations, WorldLibertyFinancial Alliance donated a top of US$16615, and its super PAC received another US$20 million from Susquehanna Alliance and US$5 million from Musk Alliance. The report attributed it to local voters 'negative views of encryption and data center controversy.
