Aero announces terms for the merger of Aerodrome and Velodrome, starting on October 21

Aero officially disclosed the token exchange details and implementation plan for the merger of Aerodrome and Velodrome platforms. The integration process is scheduled to start at 20:00 (Eastern Time) on October 21, 2025, when the token issuance mechanisms of the original two platforms will be terminated simultaneously. According to the redemption rules, existing AERO tokens are converted into the new version of AERO at a 1:1 ratio, and VELO tokens are converted into AERO at a ratio of approximately 0.044:1. This ratio applies to all tokens in circulation and locked status. The VELO exchange rate is determined based on the total supply at the launch of the merger, with Aerodrome platform users receiving 94.5% of the new release supply, and Velodrome platform users receiving 5.5%. Data shows that as of October 9, 2025, the combined lock-in value of the two exchanges is approximately US$422 million.
