The ENSv2 activation proposal intends to stop new registrations of ENSv1, and existing.eth holders will have no migration period

The ENSv2 activation proposal of Ethereum domain name service ENS has been announced. Its core content includes two aspects: on the one hand, the proposal clarifies that new registration support for ENSv1 will be terminated after ENSv2 is launched; on the other hand, existing.eth domain name holders can continue to hold and use their registered domain names without facing a migration deadline. In addition, the proposal also stipulates that ENS Labs transfer remaining ENSv2 management roles to ENS DAO, allowing the community to take over relevant governance authority.
