On October 15th, the price of Bitcoin dropped to $81,480, a decrease of 2.02% over the past 24 hours (according to HTX market data). It has now approached the lower limit of its recent trading range. Although crypto analysts have shifted their views towards optimism, the overall decline in risk assets continues to weigh on Bitcoin.

The crypto market has weakened as speculative trading interest has decreased. This is due to inflation data being worse than expected, along with further sell-offs in chip manufacturer stocks. Meanwhile, the NASDAQ 100 index fell by 2%, while the dollar reached its highest level since May 2025. In September, consumer prices increased to their highest level since April, prompting traders to increase their bets on continued rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.

Data from Wednesday’s stock market closes shows that the Dow Jones index fell by 0.09%, the S&P 500 index fell by 1.1%, and the NASDAQ index fell by 1.88%. Among individual stocks, Micron Technology fell by 4%, SK Hynix fell by 6%, NVIDIA fell by 3%, CoreWeave fell by more than 15%, and Dell fell by more than 11%.
