Industry insiders: Bithumb will still push for re-election of current CEO
According to the Korea Times, industry insiders said that although Bithumb had previously been severely punished by regulators, the board of directors tended to support the re-election of current CEO Lee Jae-won. Bithumb will hold a regular shareholders 'meeting on March 31, when a proposal to extend Lee Jae-won's term will be voted on. Lee Jae-won's current term ends this month, and if approved, he will receive a new two-year term. Reported that Bithumb chose to retain its existing leadership rather than restructure, a move seen as an effort to maintain operational continuity and organizational stability while addressing current challenges.
