Stripe Co-founder: Revenue Surged Nearly 9x, Wallet Assets Grew 25x Following Privy Acquisition
On October 15, Stripe co-founder Patrick Collison announced that Privy has been part of the Stripe family for over a year. During this period, Privy's wallet assets have grown approximately 25-fold, monthly active developers have tripled, and revenue has increased nearly ninefold. The platform now facilitates close to $25 billion in monthly transaction volume. Companies such as Ramp, Deel, Klarna, and Hyperliquid are leveraging Privy to build embedded banking capabilities.
Stripe is deeply integrating Privy into its Treasury, Link, and Connect ecosystems to accelerate global expansion and feature development, with plans to soon launch a Link balance feature. Additionally, Privy's wallet infrastructure already supports AI agents executing transactions and generating revenue, with applications including Merit Systems and Nevermined. Collison anticipates continued rapid growth in the agent economy.
The two entities are currently building a unified API designed to support holding stablecoin balances and earning yield, managing fiat on-ramps and off-ramps, and arranging expenditures via bank cards. Collison also noted that significant work remains to fully integrate Privy, Bridge, and other Stripe business lines.
