Ant International completes allocation of China's Digital Currency Electronic Payment (DCEP) fund and integrates it into its treasury.
Ant International and China Asset Management (Hong Kong) recently issued a joint announcement confirming that Ant International has completed its allocation to the China RMB Digital Currency Fund (3461.HK / 83461.HK), integrating it into its corporate treasury framework. The fund transfer was initiated by Ant International through the Shanghai Pudong Branch of China Construction Bank, with digital RMB assets moved in real-time from Shanghai to Hong Kong before entering relevant accounts at Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong). The fund allocation was executed using offshore RMB, establishing a fully integrated chain for cross-border digital RMB transfers and offshore RMB asset investment. The announcement highlighted that this initiative not only bridges the gap between offshore digital RMB asset management and corporate treasury applications but also validates the feasibility of digital RMB in Shanghai-Hong Kong cross-border fund transfer scenarios.
