US stocks see "Black Friday": Nasdaq drops over 2%, AI-related stocks fall across the board

On October 17, market data from BIT (bit.com) showed that the three major U.S. stock indices closed lower across the board, with the Nasdaq leading the decline, widening to 2.36%; the S&P 500 and the Dow fell 1.19% and 0.58%, respectively. Among individual stocks, SPCX dropped 2.24%, ORCL fell 4.42%, GOOGL declined 2.27%, NVDA slipped 0.95%, and TSLA dropped 2.97%. Other AI-related stocks also weakened: in the optical module sector, COHR fell 6.26%, LITE dropped 3.87%, AAOI declined 7.89%, NOK slipped 2.51%, and MRVL fell 4.2%; in the storage sector, SKHY dropped 6.13%, MU fell 4.33%, SNDK declined 5.3%, WDC slipped 5.16%, and STX fell 5.97%.
