OpenAI Signs Agreement with the UAE on Energy, Investment, and Government Technology Deployment

Bloomberg reported that OpenAI has signed multiple agreements with several UAE-based energy companies, investment firms, and government agencies to advance the local deployment of its technology—aiming to strengthen bilateral collaboration and concurrently advance a multi-billion-dollar funding initiative led by state-backed UAE investors. According to a statement released Monday by the Abu Dhabi Media Office, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has arrived in Abu Dhabi for talks with His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
