Standard Chartered and SBI Investment back crypto insurance provider Soter in $66 million Series B round

Soter Insure has successfully closed its Series B funding round, led by Galaxy. SC Ventures—part of Standard Chartered—and Japan’s SBI Group joined as new investors. Valued at approximately $66 million based on current Bitcoin and Ethereum market prices, the round delivered roughly $23 million in cash to Soter Insure, along with over 500 BTC and 2,000 ETH. Previous investors include Coinbase Ventures, Franklin Templeton, and Brevan Howard Digital. Soter Insure specializes in insuring crypto assets against losses from hacks, theft, and software failures—and supports payouts in BTC or ETH.
