U.S. Senator Calls for Investigation into Bitmain Security Risks and Trump Family Relations

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren sent a letter to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick requesting relevant information about potential national security risks to Bitmain and focusing on its business dealings with the Trump family. The letter requested disclosure of records of correspondence between Bitmain and Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. According to reports, the FBI is conducting an investigation called "Operation Red Day" to assess whether there is a risk of remote control of relevant mining equipment. Previously, U.S. regulators have repeatedly questioned the safety of Bitmain products. Bitmain responded that the allegations were not true, and AmericanBitcoinCorp said its security tests found no problems.
