Iranian president: Iran committed to ending war has never sought nuclear weapons

On March 27, according to a statement from the Iranian Presidential Palace, Iranian President Pezehizyan said in a phone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar that day that Iran is committed to comprehensively ending the war and emphasized that Iran has never sought to possess nuclear weapons. The statement said that during the phone call, Pezehziyan and Anwar discussed developments in the regional and international situation since the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran on February 28. Pezehziyan pointed out that the accusation that Iran is trying to acquire nuclear weapons is an excuse for illegal aggression by the United States and Israel. (CCTV News)
