Mizuho: Mastercard's target price of US$666 is expected to become the "network connector" in the fiat and crypto world after acquiring BVNK
Mizuho analysts maintain Mastercard's "outperform" rating and a target price of US$666, saying that stablecoins are not a threat to its core business, but an "accelerator." Analysts pointed out that stablecoins can unlock faster, cheaper, 7×24-hour cross-border and B2B payment scenarios, and through this acquisition of BVNK, Mastercard will gain fiat and stablecoin exchange, cross-chain functions and wallet infrastructure capabilities. BVNK's license framework also supports customers to quickly go online. At present, Mastercard has provided encryption card services to encryption companies such as MetaMask and Gemini, and the use of encryption cards has steadily increased recently.
