The latest report from Cointelegraph Research shows that the United Nations Development Program is applying blockchain technology to the construction of public digital infrastructure, focusing on solving issues of transparency, collaboration efficiency and trusted data sharing in government systems. The report "NewTech,NewPartners" sorted out 42 actual cases, covering areas such as digital payments, financial inclusion, climate finance, data governance and community investment. Among them, 7 focus on digital identities and data systems, mainly distributed in Africa, Latin America, Developing economies such as Asia and Eastern Europe. The study pointed out that UNDP adopts a "pilot-verification-expansion" promotion model. By cooperating with the government, developers and local enterprises, it implements small-scale projects first and then gradually promotes them based on actual results. At the same time,"platform-independent" architecture is emphasized to maintain system openness and interoperability. In addition, the report emphasizes the importance of governance and risk control, pointing out that the application of blockchain in public systems needs to be supported by privacy protection, regulatory frameworks and audit mechanisms to prevent data abuse and smart contract risks. Overall, blockchain is extending from financial scenarios to public governance infrastructure, becoming one of the important technical options for digital transformation in various countries.
