BinanceOTC trading volume surges: 25% of institutional funds accelerated into Bitcoin in two months
On March 28, Binance released its March 2026 OTC and execution services report, showing that institutional demand increased significantly at the beginning of the year. OTC transaction volume in the first two months has reached 25% of the full year of 2025, reflecting the large amount of funds on OTC liquidity and execution services. Reliance continues to increase. The report pointed out that against the background of increasing macro and geopolitical uncertainty, Bitcoin prices fluctuated between US$60,000 and US$78,000 in February, but institutional funds continued to flow in. The proportion of BTC in OTC transactions rose sharply from 4.91% in January to 45.81% in February. The entry of stable currencies and fiat currencies also increased significantly, showing signs of opening positions on dips. At the same time, BinanceOTC has demonstrated capabilities in complex transaction execution. The case shows that a US$105 million WBETH to ETH transaction was completed in 2 hours, with a slip of about 50 basis points, which was about 75% optimized compared with the order book execution, significantly improving capital efficiency. Overall, the report believes that the current market is characterized by "price shocks and institutional funding", and the importance of OTC channels in large-value transactions and complex asset conversions continues to rise.
