Meta's new super intelligent team debuts its first AI model and turns to closed source

On April 9, MetaPlatforms Inc. released its latest artificial intelligence (AI) model on Wednesday-the first since CEO Mark Zuckerberg spent billions of dollars to restructure the company's AI division to keep up with rivals. The much-anticipated model, called MuseSpark, was developed by MetaSuperintelligence Labs (MSL), a new team of high-paying AI researchers led by Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang. MuseSpark will provide support for MetaAI chat bots, changing the company's previous open source strategy and adopting a closed-source model, that is, its design and code will not be made public.
