American musician G.Love lost 5.92 BTC by downloading a fake Ledger app in the Apple AppStore

G.Love, a musician in Philadelphia in the United States, posted on the X platform that during the process of replacing his computer and reconfiguring Ledger, he mistakenly downloaded a malicious fake application from the Apple App Store, resulting in the theft of his retirement funds and the transfer of about 5.92 bitcoins in a short period of time. On-line detective ZachXBT later said that it had traced the flow of stolen funds and pointed out that the relevant assets had been transferred through CEX's recharge address for money laundering. ZachXBT also questioned Apple's application store review mechanism, saying that Apple's platform allowed counterfeit applications to be put on shelves. The problem has led to further amplification of user asset security risks. The incident once again attracted market attention to wallet security and application ecological review mechanisms.
