Vance: The two sides have not reached an agreement but some aspects are progressing smoothly

On April 14, according to Fox News, U.S. Vice President Vance said that although no agreement was reached, some aspects were progressing "very smoothly." He said: "I wouldn't say things were going completely wrong. I think there is something smooth." He also said: "(We made clear) on what terms the United States can compromise, on what terms we have flexibility, and what results we absolutely need to see in order for President Trump to feel like he's got a good deal." Anyway, we had some good conversations. I think this may be the first time that the Iranian government and the U.S. government have held such a high-level meeting since the current Iranian leadership took office."
