Baltic Dry freight index rose for 10th consecutive trading day

On April 16, the Baltic Dry Freight Index rose for the 10th consecutive trading day, with all types of ships rising. The Baltic Dry Freight Index rose 39 points, or 1.6% from the previous trading day to 2523, the highest level since early December 2025. The capesize freight index rose 62 points, or about 1.6%, to 4026, a high in more than four months. Average daily profit for capesize ships rose $562 to $33012. The Panamax freight index rose 22 points, or about 1.1%, to 1970, its highest level since early March. The index rose for the 11th consecutive trading day. Average daily profit for Panamax ships rose $202 to $17730. The ultra-flexible bulk carrier freight index rose 27 points, or 1.97%, to 1398 points. The transportsize freight index rose 15 points to 730 points.
