Sky announced that it is building Laniakea to create an institutional chain capital allocation infrastructure
Sky announced that it is building Laniakea, a standardized infrastructure framework for institutional-level capital deployments, for use in its SkyAgentNetwork. Currently, SkyProtocol manages more than US$11 billion in USDS circulation and generates revenue through strategies such as DeFi lending, private equity credit and compliant real-world assets. Lanikea will serve as the underlying infrastructure to improve the scalability and efficiency of capital allocation and further promote on-chain finance to the institutional level. The project aims to solve the current problem of more than US$300 billion in stablecoins being idle and lacking unified infrastructure. Lanikea will standardize from four dimensions: smart contracts, risk and governance, data infrastructure and legal compliance, so that new capital products do not need to repeatedly build the underlying framework, thereby achieving modular expansion and large-scale deployment. At the same time, risk transparency and clear responsibilities are ensured by unifying risk measurement and loss stratification mechanisms. Under this framework, SkyAgents (Primes) will develop investment strategies based on unified standards and compete for capital allocation, while specific products (Halos) will be rapidly implemented based on shared infrastructure. Laniakea will also encode the operating state of the entire protocol in a machine-readable manner, providing the foundation for AI-driven real-time risk control and capital dispatch. As its capital scale expands and its profits increase, Sky expects to strengthen SKYtoken's value capture capabilities through repurchase and pledge mechanisms.
