According to the latest poll by POLITICO, although the AI and encryption industries are investing a lot of political money in the U.S. midterm elections, the American public as a whole is still significantly cautious or even negative towards the two major industries.<br /> The survey shows that 45% of Americans believe that "investing in cryptocurrencies is not worth the risk", and 44% of respondents believe that AI is developing "too fast." Nearly half of the respondents said that they trust traditional banks to keep funds more than crypto platforms; about two-thirds support the government's strict supervision of AI or the establishment of unified regulatory principles.<br /> According to reports, the super PAC (Political Action Committee) that supports the AI and encryption industries is rapidly becoming an important funding force in the 2026 U.S. midterm elections. Among them, the pro-AI organization Leading the Future has raised more than US$75 million; the crypto PAC "Fairshake" supported by Coinbase, Andreessen Horowitz and Ripple has invested approximately US$28 million in multiple key primary elections.<br /> However, polls show that voters are more inclined to support candidates who advocate "strengthening AI regulation" than candidates who promote deregulation. U.S. Senator Chris Murphy said: "People don't trust the crypto industry and don't want AI companies to crush them culturally and economically."<br /> In addition, more than half of Americans said they have never purchased or would not consider purchasing cryptocurrency;43% of respondents believe that the risks of AI outweigh the benefits.
