Source: Alibaba will integrate Qianwen AI with Taobao to launch smart shopping service

On May 10, according to people familiar with the matter, Alibaba (09988.HK) is preparing to announce plans to integrate its artificial intelligence platform Qwen and e-commerce platform Taobao, a move that aims to promote shopping through dialogue rather than keyword search. It is reported that integration will allow consumers to talk to artificial intelligence assistants through the Qwen app to browse, compare and purchase products without having to manually browse product lists. The Qwen app is expected to access the complete catalog of more than 4 billion products on Taobao and Tmall, and relies on a "skills library" that can manage logistics and after-sales services. It will also provide shopping recommendations based on users 'order history and shopping preferences. In addition, within the Taobao platform, Alibaba will launch an AI shopping assistant powered by Qwen-with built-in tools such as virtual try-on and 30-day price tracking. (Reuters)
