Pakistan is negotiating with Iran to allow more Qatar liquefied natural gas to pass through the Strait of Hormuz
On May 11, Pakistan held talks with Iran to try to allow a limited amount of Qatar liquefied natural gas cargo to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, Qatar has successfully dispatched its first liquefied natural gas cargo since the outbreak of the war. Ship tracking data showed that the AlKharaitiyat, which was loading at the Ras Rafan export terminal earlier this month, sailed out of the Strait of Hormuz and arrived in the Gulf of Oman on Sunday. According to people familiar with the matter, the cargo is part of negotiations between Pakistan and Iran to allow more Qatar liquefied natural gas to pass through the Strait of Hormuz to help meet Pakistan's urgent needs.
