Modern AI system is confirmed for the first time through Turing test
On May 22, scientists at the University of California, San Diego, conducted an empirical study that proved for the first time that modern artificial intelligence (AI) systems passed the Turing test. Related papers were published in the new issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. This is the first study to strictly use the Turing test to evaluate large language models. The Turing test was proposed by the British mathematician Alan Turing in 1950. It is an important scientific benchmark to test whether machines can realistically imitate human dialogue and make it impossible for people to distinguish them from real people.
