On May 24, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted on social media on the afternoon of the 24th local time, saying that he had had a phone call with U.S. President Trump the night before on the memorandum of understanding on opening the Strait of Hormuz and on Iran's nuclear program. Netanyahu revealed in a post that he and Trump agreed that any final agreement reached with Iran must eliminate the nuclear threat. That means dismantling Iran's uranium enrichment facilities and removing enriched nuclear material from its territory. He said President Trump confirmed during the phone call that "Israel has the right to defend itself on all fronts," including the Lebanon Front. Netanyahu stressed that Israel's policy is the same as President Trump's policy, namely that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons, and remains unchanged. (CCTV News)
