On June 7, Luigi, Aave's chief strategy and business officer, said,"I don't think many people realize that Strategy's sale of Bitcoin is essentially a 'psychological warning', in order to meet the requirements for inclusion in the index." It was previously reported that MSCI decided in January this year not to implement the proposal to exclude digital asset reserve companies from the MSCI index during the index review in February. Strategy founder Michael Saylor expressed confidence in September 2025 that MSTR could be included in the S & P 500 index.
