The United States invests $2 billion on quantum computing and quantum threats accelerate their approach to Bitcoin's crypto system

According to CoinDesk, the U.S. Department of Commerce recently signed a letter of intent to invest more than US$2 billion in nine quantum computing companies to build quantum computer infrastructure that can crack Bitcoin, Ethereum and mainstream encryption on the Internet. Among them, IBM will receive US$1 billion to build a quantum-level wafer factory, GlobalFoundries received US$375 million, and the remaining funds were allocated to seven quantum hardware companies.
