On June 28, The Kobeissi Letter issued an article stating that the United States is experiencing an unprecedented ETF boom. Data shows that since 2026, US-listed ETFs have attracted more than US$1 trillion in capital inflows, and at the current rate, it is expected to exceed US$2 trillion by the end of the year, setting a record high. If the annual ETF inflow exceeds US$2 trillion, it will mean that the annual ETF inflow has increased for the fourth consecutive year and is 33% higher than the record set in 2025, or an increase of approximately US$500 billion. At the same time, 700 ETFs have been launched this year and are expected to set a new annual record. In June alone, 186 ETFs were listed, the highest number of monthly issues in history. The ETF industry is expanding at a record rate.
