Iranian president insists that Iran will only fulfill its obligations if the United States complies
On June 30, Iranian President Pezehizyan issued an article on the social media platform on the evening of June 29 local time, stating that "understanding is two-way. If the United States abides by the memorandum of understanding, we will also fulfill our obligations. In the face of unreasonable boasting and unwarranted threats, our attitude is to uphold reason and human dignity when making decisions, and respond resolutely and fearlessly when taking actions." Although the United States has repeatedly stated that it will hold talks with Iran in Doha, the capital of Qatar, today (June 30), in order to resolve the dispute between the two sides over the Strait of Hormuz, it said that U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Witkov and President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will fly to Doha. However, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bagae emphasized on June 29 local time that Iran will not hold negotiations at any level with the United States in the next few days. Bagae said that Iran will send an expert delegation to Doha, the capital of Qatar, this week to follow up on relevant matters, but the US representative's visit to Doha has nothing to do with the Iranian expert delegation's visit.
