On July 1, institutional digital asset broker FalconX announced that it had obtained a European Union Cryptographic Asset Markets Regulation Act (MiCA) license issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) to provide compliant digital asset trading, custody, liquidity and related institutional services within the EU and the European Economic Area (EEA). FalconX said the license supports it in conducting business within a unified regulatory framework among EU member states, without the need to apply for a license on a country-by-country basis. Currently, the company serves more than 2000 institutional clients around the world, including asset management companies, hedge funds, banks and family offices, facilitating a cumulative transaction volume of more than US$2.5 trillion and issuing more than US$8 billion in institutional financing. FalconX said that with the full implementation of the MiCA regulatory framework, institutional customers 'demand for compliance transactions, custody and liquidity services continues to grow, and regulatory qualifications are becoming an important advantage for competition in the European digital asset market.
