After the release and introduction of NEAR main network version 2.13.0, quantum signature and dynamic fragmentation will start voting on July 20
According to the official announcement of NEARChainStatus, version 2.13.0 of the NEAR main network has been released, introducing a post-quantum transaction signature scheme and dynamic fragmentation function. Voting will begin at 8:00 a.m. Beijing time on July 20. Vadim, a former NEAR core developer, said that this upgrade covers most blockchain functions that will take a ten-year roadmap to complete: post-quantum signature ML-DSA-65 has become the third key type of protocol after ed25519 and secp256k1., accounts can hold a key that quantum computers cannot forge, and only a 32-byte hash is recorded on the chain; dynamic sharding allows the chain to automatically monitor the state size of each fragment and split and resharding at epoch boundaries, without protocol upgrades or manual intervention; GasKeys provides a key feature for the agent economy, allowing a single account to run a batch of agents simultaneously sending transactions without nonce conflicts.
