The important upgrade of Zcash is expected to be activated at 8 pm Beijing time on July 28
On July 10, Zcash core developer Sean Bowe issued a document on the X platform stating that the height of the activation block of Zcash Ironwood's main network has been determined and marked. All major organizations have committed to activating the NU6.3 upgrade at block height of 3,428,143, which is expected to be 8 pm Beijing time on July 28. According to previous news, this upgrade stems from a previous Orchard pool vulnerability that may allow attackers to cast an unlimited amount of counterfeit ZECs. Due to the privacy nature of the Orchard pool, the team cannot determine whether any counterfeit ZECs were forged before the vulnerability was repaired. The Ironwood upgrade will take two core measures: one is to introduce a new privacy pool that uses the Orchard protocol, and the old pool will be phased out; the other is to add a control flag to the zero-knowledge proof circuit, which can disable the ability to transfer money to other users in the pool, while retaining the change function.
