Iranian Foreign Ministry: Memorandum of Understanding with the United States has entered a "crisis" stage
On July 13 local time, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bagae said that the memorandum of understanding with the United States "has undoubtedly entered a crisis stage." Bagae said that as long as the United States continues to violate its commitments, Iran will not abide by the memorandum of understanding. Bagae also said that Iran and Oman had only held consultations on the Strait of Hormuz issue in Muscat and had no plans to discuss other issues. Bagae said Iran was negotiating with Oman to establish a mechanism to ensure the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. However, due to the pressure on Oman, this goal was not achieved.
