ProjectEleven launches Bitcoin Q-Day wallet certificate of ownership solution
Security company ProjectEleven has launched a post-quantum proof technology that aims to help users prove ownership of Bitcoin wallets after quantum computers can derive private keys and generate a valid signature. Project ElevenCEO Alex Pruden said the technology uses a wallet key derivation path that allows users to prove control without disclosing the parent key and is used to distinguish legitimate owners from attackers. The solution was developed in cooperation with Jim Posen, the main defender of the open source Binius zero-knowledge proof system, and is based on the "signature enhancement" technology proposed by Alon Sattath and Robert Wyborski. ProjectEleven said that the prototype has not been audited and requires blockchain protocol support before it is put into use, and is mainly aimed at users who miss out on migrating to quantum-resistant addresses in the future.
