Telegram 13.0 released: Wallet was renamed Walt and removed settings, adding web proxy support
Telegram launched version 13.0 on October 9, which mainly covers interface adjustments, connection method upgrades and optimization of video messaging functions. Although this update includes a number of functional adjustments, Telegram only described it as "bug fixes and minor improvements" and has not yet announced the specific update content on the official blog. It is worth noting that the original Telegram Wallet service has been renamed Walt, removed from the Telegram settings interface, and accessed through Mini programs. This update adds a web proxy function that allows users to establish a secure connection in another way; it also adds a pause button during the AI robot reply process and allows users to report illegal Mini programs. Technical adjustments include: the resolution of Android video messages has been increased from 384×384 to 480×480, and the frame rate has been simultaneously upgraded to 30 FPS; the search button has been removed from the bottom navigation bar; and the Liquid Glass visual effects of iOS 27 have also been optimized. Telegram also plans to launch a new crypto wallet, Gram Wallet, but the service is not yet available to users. This version raises the minimum supported system version to iOS 15, and devices previously running iOS 13 or iOS 14 will not be able to install this update. Currently, Telegram 13.0 is available for download through the Apple App Store, Google Play and Telegram official website.
