A phishing website and application disguised as Ledger recently appeared on the front page of Google search results. The platform scams by inducing users to enter 24-word recovery phrases. According to Google traffic data, the fake site has received more than 1 million visits in the past 30 days. Cybersecurity company Zscaler disclosed in a special investigation in September that malicious Google ads were disguised in the name of Ledger, and users would be forced to jump to a forged wallet verification page after clicking. Currently, Ledger has launched an investigation into suspected wallet theft incidents related to customers of Southeast Asian distributor CryptoBilis, involving an estimated amount of US$86 million.
